Food Logistics Announces its 2012 Top Green Providers RLS Recognized as Top Provider
Fort Atkinson, WI - June 15, 2012 - Food Logistics, the only publication dedicated exclusively to the food and beverage supply chain, this week announced those companies chosen as the Top Green Providers for 2012.
The Top Green Providers list was created to recognize companies in the food and beverage sector that have embraced sustainability practices as central to their operations. In turn, they play a key role in their customers' own sustainability efforts while simultaneously helping to advance awareness throughout the supply chain community.
"The response to our Top Green Providers list this year was overwhelming. Despite a difficult business climate, the companies on this year's list have proven that making a commitment to sustainability in their operations not only delivers a measurable return on investment, but gives them a competitive advantage in the marketplace and in the eyes of their customers," explained Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics. "Sustainability in the supply chain continues to evolve as more companies recognize the necessity for environmental conservation, while new technologies are making it easier to adopt and quantify sustainable practices."
Companies on this year's Top Green Providers list will be profiled in the June 2012 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.
